This original poetry by Marisa Alonso Santamaría conveys an important message that helps us educate our children. It teaches them that regardless of the differences between each other, we are all the same.
Beyond the differences between races or cultures, we are all people. The poet asks a question in poetry that we can use to educate children in peace.
In the garden of my house
the flowers grow beautiful,
of different sizes
and of all colors.
Insects and butterflies
between its petals they play,
they live next to each other
and in their color they recreate.
They drink from the same source
are born on the same earth,
Why then do people
don't they know how to live without wars?
